New model for first photo shoot!

My adorable and lovely friend, Jennifer Levin, has agreed to model for me! We're going to put together the first EVER photo shoot for Fluff Accessories. Another awesome friend Earl Weeks is going to photograph it (free!).

I am so lucky to know such talented people who are willing to work for nothing.
Why I chose Jen

  • She'll work for free. (have I mentioned that?)
  • She's  has long, almost dark purple hair
  • She's willing to put up with being summoned to work last minute even though I said we'd be doing this ages ago.
  • Free!
The shoot is planned for Friday. I should be able to post amazing pics soon after!

Don't care how, I want i now!

I love Verruca Salt! Not the band, although they're awesome too. She was spoiled, and she knew what she wanted: Oompa Loomps Golden Gooses. Truly a girl after my own heart.

That's the topic of today's post. Stuff. I. want. The money is sitting there, but I've been trying to be a good girl and not spend it. Fuck it. I'm buying stuff.

First Off: One of those yummy Cosplay Usa Hime wigs

This is mostly due to my desire to dress more like the super cute cross dresser from the amine Jelly Fish Princess, Kuranosuke Koibuchi. Yes, I'm a fucking Weeabo Princess. Deal. I want big, poofy hair and more cute outfits.

Winter is coming, and I really hate soggy feet.
Nothing makes me miserable quite like being outside with  wet, cold, soggy feet. Inversely, few things make me happier than warm, toasty feet indoors with a cup of hot coco and "Christmas Time is Here" from the "Happy Anniversary Charlie Brown!" CD playing. And I wouldn't throw a fit if there was a nice roast in the oven as well...

I also want a big white coat, and a few more sweaters. Pretty much, I want to be warm and chic this winter. Comfort is important to me.

A more beautiful life

I was looking for way to make my blog more popular. Because aparently, the need to be popular doesn't end in highschool.

One of the things I found when searching for tips is that I should make it clear what the purpose of my blog is. Well, that's a good question. As it turnes out, my blog has no purpose! I want to change that.

So the new purpose of this blog is for me, and everyone who reads it to:

Live a more beautiful life!! =D

Which now that I think about it, is a pretty swell idea.

So here's what I'll do first:

Clean up my frigen apartment!
I think one of the things that makes me feel not so beautiful is my messy home. I'm going to cleans, and maybe rearage some stuff. Maybe then my bf and I can finally paint the cealing.

I posted this on facebook: Today may have been trash, but tommorow is always beautiful. Fill an empty jar with really common flowers. My Jersery people. I mean the little yellow ones. In Philly, the pink ones that grow on trees, and the little lavender ones. They will look totaly diffrent, and completely uncommon once you put them indoors. It's magic.

This is something I used to do. I'd carry around a box cutter and nab flowers. Not the important ones, like roses. Just the ones that are too common for anyone to notice, or considered weeds. There are the sweetest tiny little white flowers that grow all over philly. The more of a variety, the better they look.

That's all for now, more next week!

Re Cherrypop post: Wig love

Nooo, I like this one better!
Originally at Cherrypop: Wig love: "So, i 'm tempted to purchase some wigs for my lolita coords . The wigs i have decided to get are from minty mix. com.why get a wig ? because..."

Yay for re-blogging friend's blog posts. Tal is looking for a lolita wig from Mintymix.com. I loooove wigs, pretty much for the same reasons she suggest getting one.

I'm so jelly of Minty Mix. That girl is a hustler.,

Her wig are really pretty but if I got one, I'd be concerned about how many outfits I could wear it with. I'd have to say my fave is the brown and tan.

You can wear it with the wig alone, or with the pig tails, or with one pony tail in the middle, OR with one ponytail to the side, for a totally 80's look. You could also switch the ponytails, and have a cool checkered look. Personally I like pigtail look, so that's how I'd wear it.

Recipe: Simple Donuts

I love cooking! A while back, on of my friends showed m that store bought biscuit dough could be used to make cute little donuts! You simply form a little hole in the middle, and cook them in hot oil, turning plenty so that they cook evenly. But I much prefer making things from scratch. It's healthier (no icky preservatives) and more cost efficient (more money to spend on lolita!)
So here's a recipe for making biscuit dough from scratch! It can be used in a casserole, or made into actual biscuits!

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
4 tbs. shortening
1/3 tsp. salt
about 3/8 cup milk
1. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt, and sift again.
2. Cut in shortening or butter using a fork, or my preferred method, clean hands.
3. Add milk gradually, stirring until soft dough is formed.
4. Turn out on slightly floured board and lightly "knead" for 30 seconds. Don't over kneed, just enough to shape.
5. Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with 2 inch floured biscuit cutter. No cutter? Use a glass cup with a narrow lip.

For biscuits: Bake on ungreased sheet in a 400 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.
For donuts: Stretch a hole in the center to form a ring. Heat enough oil
